Move between the portal and Claude

    1. Identify the record. Start with a court and case number, a patent number or a named entity. Confirm the result before continuing.
    2. Choose the view for the task. The portal provides visual navigation, filters and source viewers. Claude can retrieve supported records and help compare the material you actually read.
    3. Keep the source in view. Follow links back to Ex Parte, inspect citations and original pages, and distinguish a partial excerpt from a complete document.

The interfaces have different capabilities. Portal features depend on your subscription and permissions. The current MCP connector reads existing reports and available documents; document purchases and automatic PACER updates are disabled in MCP. Portal report generation, paid retrieval and expert-search workflows are not implied MCP capabilities.

Both guides use saved examples. Screenshots show the interface and records at capture time; your account, available features, results and counts may differ. A missing result is not proof that a record or event does not exist.
